Dude! You're still here? I thought you'd died...
I have NEVER been as anxious about a film as I am right now. Not even with Jurassic World. Not even with Phantom Menace...
It's Phantom Menace's fault, of course. There are lots of plot possibilities that would make me weep and wail and then go see it another 15 or so times. What worries me more than anything is the possibility of another really crap Star Wars movie.

I hate doing this, but I'm going to because I'm a little bit desperate. A while back I decided against going to Oxonmoot this year because I couldn't afford it. This decision was made in the height of a really bad period of health - the worst few weeks I've had for a long time. It was a bad decision, but nothing else I could do - I'm only at LonCon on the charity of a friend.
However, the decision not to try was wrong. I've been chewing this over for a while now and finally asked someone today whether she thought offering offerings to try to raise money to get there was acceptable. I'm a proud person and I hate to ask for help and even more hate to come across as the scrounger, but she kindly said that there are enough people who love me and would want to help to make it worth my while trying. In an ideal world I'd be there for the full weekend but in an ideal world I wouldn't be crippled and unemployed so I will see what I can do. I wouldn't ask this for any other con, but Oxonmoot - Oxonmoot is family.
So up for grabs are ficlets (my fandoms are on my sticky post), poems, lyric prayers, small embroidery, knitting or crochet works, or if none of that appeals I can offer you excellent hugs. I guess post a comment if you'd be willing to help? Comments are screened so nobody else will see but you shouldn't need an LJ account to post - only make sure I have a means of contacting you apart from by mobile phone?
There's not much time between now and Oxonmoot if anyone requests anything I can't guarantee to get it done before then! my aim will be to have everything polished off and provided by the end of October.
Hi guys - a question for UK people. Does anyone know of any cons/events/etc that might be receptive to a theatrical adaptation of the Statement of Randolph Carter? (either as part of the event or just, you know, nearby at the time). Or does anyone know of anything like a Lovecraft Society or suchlike? Re:Conception are looking for places to take What Became of Harley Warren (saw it on Friday, loved it), and I figured going for places where fans are likely to be would be sensible.
Why is the chaos head thing in the shop in season six? Giles smashed Ethan's and surely he wouldn't stock another?
BTW: there was a second garlic use, pretty much the same as the first but just Buffy sat on the bed with a cross, but much sadder because she was keeping Spike away and, well, season six. Everything's gloomier in season six.
